Former United midfielder Paul Scholes doesn’t believe Semenyo has the same traits as attackers at City, like Phil Foden, or even former playmaker David Silva.
Scholes added that Semenyo is a player he wishes was at United instead of City, adding that he would be better suited at Old Trafford.
]“He hasn’t got like the guile and the little intricate stuff that you expect with City, like David Silva in the past or a Phil Foden,” Scholes told The Good, The Bad, & The Football podcast, with Angry Ginge appearing as a special guest.
“He doesn’t seem that type of player but you’d still love to have him, I wish we had him, he’d be more suited to us you know.”

Man Utd must stop Antoine Semenyo in the Manchester derby
Semenyo is expected to play in his first Manchester derby when City travel to Old Trafford on Saturday.
The ex-Bournemouth star has an unbeaten record against United after four matches – winning two and drawing as many.
On top of that, Semenyo has scored three goals against United. The latest came when Bournemouth drew 4-4 at Old Trafford earlier this season.
With Michael Carrick in the dugout as interim head coach, United need to find a way to stop Semenyo in dangerous positions.
Diogo Dalot’s form will be a concern going into the game.
