Two months ago, ESPN Brasil reported Manchester United interest in Wolverhampton Wanderers’ João Gomes for the winter market. Over the past few days, the midfielder has emerged as a main target for Napoli in the summer.
Two days ago, Gianluca Di Marzio stated Antonio Conte’s side have reached an agreement with the player’s entourage. Later that day, Gomes said he loves being at Wolves and playing in the Premier League.
He added: “The affection from the fans is incredible, and I really want to give that back. I will give my life on the pitch so the team can finish the season safe from relegation.”
The Wolves player’s happiness in English football may give an edge to Manchester United. They are still keen on signing him and that’s according to Thursday’s edition of Marca.
