Sheffield Wednesday still haven’t given up hope of getting Harry Amass back on board at Hillsborough before the end of the January transfer window.
Amass played 12 times for the Owls this season before his loan at Hillsborough came to an end this month, and there has been plenty of speculation regarding where he ends up next.
A whole host of Championship clubs are known to be interested in trying to land his signature, many of whom can pay more than cash-strapped Wednesday, while there is also the matter of a new contract being discussed with his parent club, Manchester United.

For now there has been no final decision made on what will happen with the 18-year-old, but Henrik Pedersen has previously stated that the player himself would want to come back and carry on the fight at S6. And despite their tricky predicament and ongoing financial issues, Pedersen has belief that a deal can still be struck.
Speaking to the media on Thursday, the Owls boss said, “With Harry there is good communication, but we’ve not finalised anything. So in the end I don’t know where that will end, but I’m still positive.”

But there are still many circumstances in the big picture, however I have hope and belief that it can still happen. So let’s see how things go in the next few days.
“I hope that there will be a decision soon, because otherwise we have to think what we will do instead of him,”
