Nottingham Forest ace Murillo has emerged as a transfer target for Manchester United.
The Brazilian defender has rarely been short of potential suitors amid his impressive performances for the Reds. In his two-and-a-half years Trentside he has established himself as a regular starter and a key player for the club.
His standout displays have seen him attract plenty of admiring glances from elsewhere. And now United are said to have the centre-back on their radar.
According to the Daily Mail, Murillo is “open to” moving on from the City Ground next summer. He is said to feature “prominently” on United’s list of possible replacements for Harry Maguire, who is out of contract at Old Trafford at the end of the season.

Murillo penned a new deal with Forest 12 months ago. The fresh terms he signed in January 2025 tie him to the club until 2029.
In recent weeks, European heavyweights Barcelona and AC Milan have both been credited with an interest in the 23-year-old. The Reds are unlikely to let him go this month, but it could be a different story in the summer - particularly if they no longer have European football to offer.
Murillo joined the club from Corinthians for the bargain price of £11 million in the summer of 2023. Since then he has notched up 95 appearances in the Garibaldi.
His central defensive partnership with Nikola Milenkovic was a key feature for Forest last term as they finished seventh in the Premier League. Head coach Sean Dyche will be keen for the duo to play their part in a strong second half of the campaign this time around amid a push to move away from relegation trouble.
It has been a quiet start to the January transfer window for the Reds. Loaning out Arnaud Kalimuendo is their sole significant piece of business to date.
Movement in and out could ramp up in the second half of the window, however. A top priority for Forest is to bring in a striker, while they might cut short Oleksandr Zinchenko’s loan from Arsenal.
