Player“keeps telling Manchester United”what he wants–Next 3-4 days“crucial”

Joshua Zirkzee “keeps telling Manchester United” that he wants to leave this month. The next 3-4 days will be “crucial” to that happening.

That’s according to journalist Piero Torri on Radio Manà Manà Sport, via Siamo La Roma. He covers the player and Roma’s continuing efforts to get him.

The Italian side have already signed Robinio Vax and Donyell Malen this month, but Gian Piero Gasperini wants a further attacking reinforcement. He is pushing to sign Zirkzee from Manchester United.

Roma have been interested in well over a month, but the deal appeared to be off the table following Ruben Amorim’s dismissal. The belief was that Manchester United had closed the door to deals after that decision.

However, now the possibility has ‘suddenly reopened’. Torri confirmed this on his appearance on the radio show. He reported that “the next 3-4 days will be crucial” to Zirkzee potentially joining Roma.

He also reiterated that the Dutchman “keeps telling Manchester United that he wants to come to Roma”. They already have an agreement with the player and have done so for weeks. He wants to return to Serie A as soon as possible.

Manchester United, though, are continuing to stall. They’re, reportedly, waiting for Michael Carrick to make a decision on the striker. The deal for him would remain the same. That’s a loan with an option to buy at €40m. it would become mandatory if Roma qualify for the Champions League.

With Carrick now confirmed and in place until the end of the season, it seems Roma feel a decision on Zirkzee is coming sooner rather than later. They’ll hope that it’s the former given how long this saga has already dragged on for already. They, like everyone else, really need a definitive conclusion to the whole affair rather than another two weeks of back and forth.
