Manchester United are monitoring AS Roma goalkeeper Mile Svilar as part of early planning for a major overhaul in their goalkeeping department, according to CaughtOffside.
The 26-year-old Serbian international has impressed in Serie A since joining Roma on a free transfer in 2022 and is now attracting attention from elite clubs across Europe.

A summer approach is viewed as far more plausible, allowing United time to structure payments and assess the wider goalkeeper market, which is expected to become increasingly competitive in 2026 as several top clubs seek new first-choice options.
For United, the decision will hinge on balancing cost against long-term stability. Svilar is regarded as one of the most reliable emerging goalkeepers in Europe, but Roma’s valuation means any move would require a clear commitment to making him the cornerstone of the club’s next rebuild.
