Manchester United have just over two weeks remaining before the January transfer window shuts, with numerous players still being touted for moves to Old Trafford. The deadline for United and other Premier League clubs to wrap up their transfer dealings is February 2.
United now have a fresh head coach in charge, with Michael Carrick taking over earlier this week on an interim basis through to the end of the season.
Carrick's first match as United head coach will be Saturday lunchtime's Manchester derby clash against Manchester City in the Premier League.
Off the pitch, United continue to be mentioned alongside various potential new arrivals during the January window.

Victor Osimhen verdict
United icon Rio Ferdinand is convinced that Galatasaray forward Victor Osimhen will eventually make the switch to Old Trafford.
Speaking on his YouTube channel Rio Presents, Ferdinand was accompanied by ex-Premier League striker Asamoah Gyan, who shared his thoughts on why he thinks United could be Osimhen's next destination.
“Victor Osimhen, he loves scoring goals, he plays with his heart, and gives everything. I’m surprised big clubs didn’t go for him in this transfer window,” said Gyan.

“But hopefully, I’m feeling Manchester United too, only if he wants to come because of their history and everything.”
Ferdinand then echoed Gyan's assessment of Osimhen, who has previously been touted for a switch to United.
“Osimhen will come to United,” Ferdinand said. “If United offer to take Osimhen, he would go, 100%.”
United 'keen' on Sheffield Wednesday starlet
United are reportedly eyeing a swoop for Sheffield Wednesday defender Yisa Alao, with the youngster said to be catching the eye of several Premier League giants.
The Sheffield Star has revealed that Wednesday are determined to retain Alao despite United circling for the 17 year old's signature.

Chelsea and Liverpool are also understood to be tracking Alao, though reports suggest the promising defender has no intention of departing Wednesday despite advances from the Premier League trio.
United, Chelsea and Liverpool have all allegedly tabled an undisclosed bid reportedly worth a "mid-level six-figure" sum.
Alao, primarily a left-back, has featured four times for Wednesday's senior side this campaign, including one Championship outing.
