Benjamin Sesko says he knows exactly what Man Utd have to do to beat Man City

Ahead of his second Manchester derby, Benjamin Sesko is looking for revenge against Man City.

Manchester United take on Man City for the second time this season on Saturday afternoon. It will be Michael Carrick’s first game as head coach after returning to the club to replace Ruben Amorim earlier this week.

The Red Devils go into the game sitting seventh in the Premier League standings. A win for Carrick’s side would come as a blow to Man City’s title chances, as Pep Guardiola’s side is currently six points adrift of leaders Arsenal.

Carrick’s biggest task is getting United back to winning ways and to win matches consistently, with the team failing to record a victory in the previous four matches across all competitions.

United fans will be demanding a big performance from their star players. Otherwise, it will be a long afternoon at Old Trafford.

Benjamin Sesko seeks revenge against Man City

Although Sesko has played against City three times in his career, only one of those games was a Manchester derby.

City beat United 3-0 earlier this season. Erling Haaland scored a brace, while Phil Foden scored his seventh goal against United.

Sesko played 80 minutes but only managed to touch the ball 19 times and one shot on target.

Speaking ahead of his second Manchester derby, Sesko was asked what he learned from his trip to the Etihad Stadium earlier this season.

Sesko admitted it was ‘really tough’ and feels United can turn things around in the reverse fixture at Old Trafford.

“It’s been tough,” Sesko told Stan Sport Football.

“It’s been really tough. I know we had some struggles in that game and we didn’t get the result we wanted.

“I think now is the chance that we can turn that around. We’re going to give our best and that’s all we can do.”

Interestingly, United have already improved a lot attacking-wise this season – scoring 10 more goals than at this stage last season. At least that means Carrick has something to work with.

Benjamin Sesko looking for his first win over Man City

Sesko played against City in the Champions League twice during his spell at RB Leipzig.

The Bundesliga side lost both games as Sesko made two substitute appearances.

That means Sesko is looking for his first win and goal against City.

A goal today would see the Slovenian striker add to his tally of three goals in two matches for United.
