Tottenham, Aston Villa, Manchester United in €30m Pierre Kalulu tussle

Aston Villa, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United all have Juventus’ Pierre Kalulu on their transfer radar, according to Calciomercato.it.

Three months ago, we covered claims from Italy that Tottenham and Newcastle United had the Frenchman on their agenda. It was also explained the Serie A side would need more than €30m for their player.

Calciomercato.it now again mention Tottenham. It’s unclear whether the Magpies are still keen, however, they’ve dropped out of the mentions this time. Both Aston Villa and Manchester United have joined Thomas Frank’s side in the battle for the 25-year-old.

Kalulu initially moved to the Italian club on loan from AC Milan in 2024 and joined them permanently a year later. He mainly operates in the heart of defence but can also be utilised as a right-back.

The defender made 27 appearances this season and even contributed five goals [one goal and assists]. He’s probably enjoying his best season in Serie A and this hasn’t gone unnoticed.

Calciomercato.it now state the ‘Premier League is waiting’, where Unai Emery’s side, Spurs and Manchester United are all keen. The report makes it clear the clubs are looking at him for next season and not for the winter market.

The trio are ready to make a move for him and their interest has set off alarm bells at the Turin club.

Juve reportedly invested around €20m to sign him and would certainly want more than that to part ways with the defender.

According to the outlet, an offer around €30m can convince Juventus to sell Kalulu. They insist this figure is certainly affordable for Aston Villa, Tottenham and Manchester United.

A potential operation also depends on whether the Old Lady qualify for next season’s Champions League. They are now fourth in the table, level on points with fifth placed AS Roma.

If they miss on the Champions League, they’ll need to offload some players. In that case, Aston Villa, Spurs or Manchester United could try to reduce Kalulu’s price from €30m.

Pierre Kalulu is a regular starter for Juventus and made his France debut in June.
