Everton are facing competition from Juventus and Napoli for Youssef En-Nesyri, who still isn’t keen on the move to England.
That’s according to Sabah. Who report that the Italian duo have entered the race for the Fenerbahce striker this month.
They report that both Juventus and Napoli have begun negotiations to add the Moroccan to their squads. The Serie A clubs are aiming for a loan deal but will include a purchase option in the negotiations.
According to their information, En-Nesyri is interested in those switches and has asked for talks to commence. He has, reportedly, already rejected offers from Everton and Nottingham Forest. This was due to the “cold weather”.
That’s something we’ve heard repeatedly this week as Everton have pushed to try and get him. It’s also something that isn’t new with En-Nesyri either. He fought against Sevilla’s attempts to sell him to West Ham in the past with the same argument.
Journalist Ertan Süzgün, meanwhile, reports that Everton have made an official offer to Fenerbahce for En-Nesyri. This is reportedly a bid of €4.5m for a loan fee until the end of the season and a €20m purchase option.
Everton offer level appears established
Those are the same figures which have been cited throughout this week. Those reports have stated Fenerbahce are happy with such a deal. The problem is that En-Nesyri doesn’t seem particularly keen on Everton.
There’s no denying that Juventus and Napoli are far more attractive options at this moment in time as well.
Naples would be able to offer him the sun he appears to crave, although Turin isn’t exactly known for having a warm climate. That said, Juventus obviously has its own attractions outside of the local weather.
The Toffees may be best served turning their attention elsewhere at this point. En-Nesyri ending up at Everton needs a whole load of dominoes to fall in their favour.
