Aston Villa are “interested” in signing Juventus defender Pierre Kalulu, according to reports in Italy.

The 25-year-old French defender is currently at Serie A side Juventus, who paid €20 million to sign the player, and Calciomercato claims that they are holding out for €30 million (£26m).

The Italian outlet also claims Manchester United and Tottenham are keen on the versatile defender who can play as a centre-back, right-back and right midfielder, with all interest likely to be with a view to the summer rather than the current transfer window.

Calciomercato report: “Aston Villa, Tottenham, and Manchester United are all eyeing Pierre Kalulu with interest ahead of next season, with the Juventus defender potentially moving to another club at the end of the current campaign.

"To convince Juventus to sell the former AC Milan defender, an offer of around €30 million will be needed, a sum that could easily come from the Premier League, given the financial capabilities of the big English clubs. A transfer that could allow Juventus to realise a significant capital gain.

“Much will also depend on Juventus’s position in the league table at the end of this season. If they fail to qualify for next season’s Champions League, the Bianconeri club may have to let go of some key players in order to balance the books.”

The French defender, says the report, is enjoying his best season since arriving in Italy, arguably on par with when he won the Scudetto with AC Milan in 2022. The player is a key player on the right flank for Juventus.
