Jadon Sancho has not been included in Aston Villa’s matchday squad to face Everton.

The winger was unavailable for selection this afternoon due to illness, although it remains unclear how long he will be sidelined.

Sancho has made 18 appearances so far this season, including 11 in the Premier League.

He has started just two league matches since joining on loan from Manchester United on deadline day in September.

The 25-year-old's played from the start in Villa’s last league match against Crystal Palace but struggled to make an impact.

Sancho's best performance of the season came at Chelsea, where he helped turn the game around at Stamford Bridge.

He then started against Arsenal, though Villa were well beaten in the second half, losing 4–1 at the Emirates.

Villa are now targeting their 12th consecutive home win tonight, with the chance to move up to second place following Manchester City’s 2–0 victory at Old Trafford on Saturday.

Evan Guessand has returned to the squad and takes his place on the bench after missing the last few weeks due to his involvement at AFCON with Ivory Coast.
