United legend Schmeichel believes that Mbeumo and Co perfectly captured what has been missing about seeing the Red Devils performing at an incredibly high standard.
“For the first time in a very, very long time, it was an [absolute] joy to watch Man Utd. It’s everything I wanted it to be today,” he continued.
Mbeumo had missed six matches across all competitions in the 2025-26 campaign after he was called up to represent Cameroon at the 2025 AFCON tournament.
