The former Man Utd midfielder left the club last summer after he was handed a reduced role under Ruben Amorim.
Christian Eriksen admits he was probably not the right 'style of player' for former Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim.
The 33-year-old was released by United last summer after he had been handed a reduced role under Amorim and did not have an obvious position in their 3-4-2-1 formation. Eriksen scored in his final appearance for the club when his three-year stay came to an end with a 2-0 win over Aston Villa on the final day of last season.
Eriksen left the club after having made 107 appearances, 35 of which came across a bumper final season that saw United play 60 times across all competitions. The Denmark international only started 19 of those matches and fell out of favour towards the end of the campaign. The former Tottenham and Brentford star remained without a club until September, when he eventually signed for German side Wolfsburg.

Eriksen reflects on United exit
Christian Eriksen is delighted to be back playing regularly for Wolfsburg in the German Bundesliga, after he was made several offers in the summer transfer window.
The veteran playmaker did not want to rush his next playing decision but admitted he always felt like a move to Wolfsburg would be a good fit for his style. "I just had a gut feeling it would suit me," he told Sky Sports. "I could see myself playing for Wolfsburg, trying the Bundesliga. It is a very open league. One team can be 3-0 up in the last 10 minutes and it can still end up 3-3. There is a lot going on and every team wants to play a little bit. It is an exciting league to watch and to play in."
It always seemed likely Eriksen would leave Manchester United as a free agent last summer, and it was little shock when the club opted against a new contract. The Denmark international will always be remembered fondly by United fans, though he admits he felt like he didn't fit in under Ruben Amorim.
He added: "As a player, I did not feel he was going to look my way, in every sense. Of course, then you struggle a bit football-wise. But person-wise, we had a decent relationship, nothing wrong there. He has one idea. Maybe I was a style of player not really suited for him."
