Manchester United fans can be forgiven for getting a bit carried away after beating City, and JJ Gabriel’s reaction to the win has them bringing up a Ruben Amorim point.
Michael Carrick ensured that the vultures who always circle Man Utd are put to rest for at least one week as he scripted a stunning 2-0 victory over City.
The scoreline flattered Pep Guardiola’s side, and the performance from Man Utd was something that the fans can watch on repeat.

It won’t be an exaggeration to say that United fans live in constant fear of Gabriel leaving Old Trafford as soon as his next opportunity comes.
That fear has more to do with Gabriel’s precocious talent than anything he has done, because for his part, he has put his head down and performed brilliantly.
Rumours are bound to follow a player as talented as Gabriel, but he has put the fans’ fears to rest to a certain extent with his reaction to the derby victory.

Gabriel re-posted on his Instagram Premier League’s reel which showcased United making City dizzy with quick passes, with the scoreline in prime focus and the words, “On repeat,” over the r.eel
Gabriel isn’t someone who’s seen as a childhood fan of United as his dream club, like, say Kobbie Mainoo, so messages like these will fill fans with confidence that he’s loving life at Carrington.
United fans instantly reacted to Gabriel’s public proclamation of his loyalties, making a point about Amorim.

His position was weakened further due to his weird treatment of the academy, which snowballed into borderline frustration about the Kobbie Mainoo situation.
For Gabriel, it was hard to see a pathway to the first team because the position he could ultimately be the best in – left-winger – didn’t exist in Amorim’s system.
The fact that Gabriel’s show of public loyalty to United came after Amorim’s sacking wasn’t lost on the fans.
“He is definitely gassed he doesn’t have to play a 3-4-3 anymore and can actually play as a winger,” one fan said on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“Yeah he ain’t leaving anymore. Life is good after Amorim,” said another, as a third agreed, “They wouldn’t even do this for Amorim.”
A fourth joked, “Bro you’re not doing any wing-back shifts anymore,” as another credited Carrick, writing, “Carrick got all of them hyped in a week, we really back.”
A crucial detail wasn’t lost on one fan as they remarked, “He never posted a single clip of Amorim-ball. We might actually keep him now!”
Another was convinced that Amorim’s view of the academy is “part of the reason” he was fired.
“Honestly, these boys really didn’t like Amorim,” said one, as another declared with confidence, “Boy is the future. He’s learning the United way already.”
