There has been some reports in the media which have claimed that Manchester United are ready to pay over £100 million to try and secure the services of Nottingham Forest star Elliot Anderson.
Michael Carrick is in charge of United until the end of the season, with alot of pressure on the former star to make an immediate impact considering the board want Champions League football for next season, and maybe a trophy added too.
The 23-year-old Anderson has excelled since leaving Newcastle for the City Ground and is now firmly established as part of Thomas Tuchel’s plans for next summer’s World Cup.
Unsurprisingly, Anderson’s form has alerted a number of leading Premier League clubs with the likes of Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham all reportedly interested in a deal for the talented midfielder.
And according to a report from TEAMtalk, United are definitely interested in signing Elliot
However, on top of that massive price tag, a potential hurdle to this deal is that Manchester City are currently seen as favourites to land the Englishman’s signature.
IcFootballnews Says…
It is very easy to see why all the big clubs wants Anderson, he has been so impressive for Forest and a player that could become one of the best in his position, but he needs to make the right career choices.
If the big clubs are circling for a potential deal, then Anderson needs to make sure that United, Man City or Chelsea have the space in the side for him to play, he doesnt want to move and then sit on the bench you know?
However – saying that, he is ready for that next step and could be the ideal signing that Manchester United need.
