Tottenham ‘plan transfer attack’ – Spurs told €60m to secure arrival

Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United have Borussia Dortmund’s Felix Nmecha on their radar.

The UK press has stated both Tottenham and Manchester United have interest in the midfielder. The Premier League duo will try to lure him at the end of this season.

Bild relay this claim and then provide their own take on how Tottenham and Manchester United can sign him.

Last year, claims from Germany had mentioned Manchester United interest but a deal never materialised.

On Tuesday, BVB suffered a 2-0 loss to Thomas Frank’s side in the Champions League. The Germany international started for his side and was on the pitch for 67 minutes.

Bild say Tottenham are ‘planning a transfer attack’ as the midfielder was in the spotlight during Borussia Dortmund’s European tie yesterday. Spurs would have taken a closer look at him.

Nmecha is a product of Manchester City’s academy. Earlier this week, Bild asked him about the possibility of him moving to the Premier League.

Responding to that, he said: “Whether I want to play in the Premier League or not, I’m not going to say right now. I think for me it’s simply important that we win this game [against Tottenham] and that I hopefully enjoy this special day.”

The 25-year-old has played 28 matches in all competitions this season and is a key man for BVB manager Niko Kovač.

Nmecha has a contract until 2028 and Transfermarkt values him at €45m. However, Bild warn both Tottenham and Manchester United he’s ‘unlikely to come cheap’. According to them, the Bundesliga side are unlikely to let the player leave for less than €60m. This is the fee Tottenham and Manchester United need to sign him.

At this moment in time, the German club have no plans to let him leave. However, Bild state it won’t be easy for them to keep Nmecha if he continues to shine.

Manchester United were already linked last year. It’s quite possible the Red Devils are dragged in again, probably to help BVB drive up the German’s price.
