Real Madrid’s 6-1 win over AS Monaco last night saw the team deliver a comprehensive performance all across the field, with Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Jr, Jude Bellingham, and Franco Mastantuono getting on the scoresheet.
At the end, however, it was Vinicius who stole the show with a goal, five shots, and two assists.
The Brazilian was simply unstoppable down the flank and reminded the Santiago Bernabeu of why he is still one of the best players in the world in his position.
Speaking to the media after the game, the MVP spoke out on the team’s performance, his feelings, and the goal he scored on the night.
“We were very focused from the start, moving the ball from side to side. Whenever I can get on the ball, they’re my best moments,” he began.
The player then spoke on how recent weeks have not been easy for him on a personal level, and understandably so, as he not only struggled for form but also was booed by the Santiago Bernabeu.
“The last few days have been very tough for all my teammates and especially for me, because of the boos and everything that’s been said about me.
“I’m always in the spotlight, and I don’t want to be there for things off the pitch, I want to be there for what I do on it and for everything I’ve done for this club,” he added.

Elaborating on how he keeps the team first and gives his all on the field, the Brazilian continued,
“But the demands are very high, and I have to deliver every day. I won’t always be at my best technically, but I try to give my all for this club that has given me so much.”
The player then praised his teammates for the performance they dropped on the night and how the support of the fans meant a lot to the team.
“It’s very easy to play with Mbappe and all the players we have here. We have a very good connection and we have to continue like this.
“At home, we have to have the support of the fans so that everything can get back to normal. We all want to win and, if we’re together, we’re going to do great things this season,” he added.
Finally, he was asked to comment on the goal he scored on the night, to which he said,
“It was a great moment. I’d given a lot of assists, and all my teammates told me I had to score. It’s important to have the confidence of my teammates.
“We’re a family. If we’re at our best, we can win big things this season.”

A recent revelation from AS has added fresh momentum to the ongoing discussion surrounding Vinicius Jr.’s future at Real Madrid.
On a night that carried strong emotional weight for the Brazilian, his agent, Federico Pena, was present at the Santiago Bernabeu during Madrid’s Champions League clash against AS Monaco.
The visit has been widely interpreted as a sign that talks over Vinicius’ contract renewal could soon move faster.
Vinicius’ current deal runs until 2027, and while there has been no official breakthrough yet, his camp is fully aware that the club remains firmly behind him.
The past week has been a challenging one for the winger, both on and off the pitch, but the internal support he has received has been decisive in helping him respond in the right way.
That backing was visible on the pitch after the Monaco match. The embraces with teammates, followed by a particularly symbolic hug with Alvaro Arbeloa, underlined how protected Vinicius remains within the dressing room.

Against Monaco, Federico Pena chose to be physically present during what was a delicate moment for his client.
He wanted to show clear and public backing, as even the winger places complete confidence in Pena, who has been by his side through every major decision.
Naturally, the agent’s presence has fuelled optimism among Madrid supporters. Fans are eager for clarity on a renewal that would secure one of the club’s biggest assets beyond 2027.
Despite Vinicius’ attempts to play down any urgency after the match, there is growing belief that the situation could be resolved sooner rather than later.
Both Real Madrid and the player are aligned in their desire to continue working together, and the fact that Federico Pena was in Madrid at this moment is unlikely to be a coincidence.
