Wayne Rooney shared an intriguing insight into what Victoria Beckham is truly like behind the scenes. A revelation that may challenge many preconceived notions about 'Posh'.
The Beckham family has been making headlines this week following Brooklyn Beckham's shocking announcement of his decision to cut ties with his parents. Rumours of a family rift have been circulating for months and Brooklyn has now confirmed the split, accusing his parents of controlling him and alleging they've "tried endlessly to ruin his relationship" with his wife, Nicola.
However, Rooney's experience with the Beckhams paints a different picture. He was invited to their home for dinner shortly after joining Manchester United. Although David had left for Real Madrid in 2003, a year before Rooney joined United, the England hero still managed to get a glimpse of how one of the world's most influential couples behaved away from the public eye.
On The Wayne Rooney Show, he shared his experiences with Kelly Somers and Kae Kurd, even mentioning an unexpected first encounter with Brooklyn.

He reminisced: "I remember years ago we got invited to Becks' for dinner. It was me, Lamps (Frank Lampard) and a couple more players. We went to his house, me and Coleen, we were only 19 or something. We were like, 'This is weird, what's happening here?'
"Had a walk around and he's showing us round his house and then I open a door and his eldest boy [Brooklyn], I bumped his head and he started crying. I thought, 'Oh, Jesus Christ.' Opened the door and bumped his head. But yeah, that was surreal.

"And we sat there with Becks and Victoria having dinner, it was like..." before Somers interjected to ask: "What was dinner? Was it posh?"
Rooney took the chance to highlight the Beckhams' down-to-earth nature, responding: "No. We met up with Becks and Victoria, me and Coleen, when he was at Madrid and went for dinner then and we were having kebabs."
Continuing with his revelations, Rooney also offered insight into Victoria's character that might catch some off guard: "He's obviously a great lad, and Victoria's such a lovely woman and funny. A lot funnier than people would think."
Viewers caught a taste of Victoria's humorous side during the filming of the Netflix documentary 'Beckham'. The former Spice Girl earned widespread praise as a standout feature of the series, taking centre stage throughout the production.

One particularly memorable moment captured David delivering a lacklustre joke, before Victoria glanced knowingly at the camera and quipped: "He thinks that's gonna be his moment in the documentary. But it's not about him. It's about me."
Another standout moment featured Victoria telling viewers she and her family had "very working class" roots, before David intervened from the doorway, urging her to "be honest." He proceeded to remind his wife about being chauffeured to school in a Rolls Royce, with her response creating one of the documentary's most entertaining scenes.
