“Deserves to be where he is” – Manchester United youngster’s agent rules out transfer

Manchester United are calm about Diego León’s situation, despite recent reports linking the youngster with a possible loan move.

Fresh comments from Paraguay now push back on that narrative. They reinforced the idea that the club are sticking to a defined development plan –which was already criticised back home.

Speaking onVersus Sports, Renato Bittar, who represents the player, said there has been no change in direction since the player arrived in England.“When Diego arrived at Manchester, they gave us a development plan,”Bittar explained. “His process is normal, positive, and exactly what we planned.”

Those remarks matter a lot. RecentSouth American reports had suggested that a loan, potentially to OGC Nice, was under consideration. Nice have connections to Manchester United via their INEOS ownership and that encourages transfer chatter.

Bittar addressed that directly.“No one mentioned anything to me about interest from Nice,” he said, distancing the player’s camp from the rumours.

Instead, the representative stressed that León’s current situation at Manchester United reflects merit rather than delay.“He deserves to be where he is,” Bittar added, suggesting that patience remains part of the strategy agreed with the club.

Manchester United stay expected

That stance contrasts with the urgency seen in other cases, where immediate minutes drive decisions. For now, both parties appear content to follow the plan, regardless of external noise around possible loan destinations.

Diego León’s agent expects his client to be at Manchester United after the window. What happens in the summer is another scenario entirely, and a loan may be the right plan at that stage.
