**Chelsea and Manchester United have advanced to the 2025-26 Subway Women’s League Cup Final, just two days after a being drawn together in the Adobe WFA Cup.**
Wieke Kaptein headed home from a Sandy Baltimore cross for the visitors just before the break, as the holders made a seventh successive League Cup final.
Manchester City came close to an equaliser multiple times, but Vivianne Miedema and Kerstin Casparij were denied by the post, and Hannah Hampton made some important saves, while Lauren Hemp couldn’t quite reach a cross right in front of goal at the death.

Manchester United also won away by the only goal, but against Arsenal’s ten players after a second-half dismissal.
In first-half added time, goalkeeper Anneke Borbe gifted the ball to Ellen Wangerheim, who put it on a plate for Elisabeth Terland to score.
Arsenal’s hopes of getting back into the tie were hampered just after the hour mark when they had Olivia Smith sent off for a second caution.
