Patrick Dorgu scored the winning goal in the 198th Manchester derby before sharing a moment with Manchester United fans who were standing outside Old Trafford.
It’s still early days for Patrick Dorgu at Manchester United, having transferred from Serie A outfit Lecce a year ago.
The Denmark international was a constant threat in the Manchester derby on Saturday when United beat City 2-0 at Old Trafford.
Bryan Mbeumo opened the scoring in the second half before Dorgu doubled United’s lead over City to secure three points in Michael Carrick’s first game back at the club as head coach.

It was arguably Dorgu’s best performance in a United shirt as Carrick decided to play the 21-year-old further forward as a winger, which is something Ruben Amorim toyed with after losing key players due to the Africa Cup of Nations.
Dorgu excelled in that role when United beat Newcastle 1-0 on Boxing Day, but it was a similar story against City as he got on the scoresheet again.
The Dane was seen leaving Old Trafford with his mother after the derby when she gestured that he went over to the fans, who were waiting for photos and autographs near the entry to the Stretford End.
Dorgu, like any decent young man, took note of his mother’s instruction and showed his class by spending some time with the fans.
A video has since emerged on social media showing Dorgu leaving Old Trafford and approaching fans after speaking with his mother.
