The latest Man Utd transfer news with a double deal expected to be announced on Thursday.
United remain focused on player departures in the final fortnight of the January transfer window, with the club not expected to do any major business before deadline day on Monday 2 February. Club sources have reiterated that they plan to do most of their business at the end of the season, when top targets will become more affordable and attainable.
United will remain alert to any unexpected market opportunities that might arise, just as they did when they tried to sign Antoine Semenyo before he moved to Man City. United will target a midfield refresh at the end of the season, while they are also in the market for a left winger following their recent formation change. Michael Carrick does not expect to have any of these areas addressed before the end of the month, which is also why United do not expect to sanction any senior exits before deadline day.

Romano: United set for double deal today
Manchester United plan to send several players out on loan for the remainder of the season, with two exits expected to be announced on Thursday.
Harry Amass is set to join Norwich City after they won a fierce race for his signature this month, while Toby Collyer will finally complete his move to Hull City after a brief delay. United forward Ethan Wheatley is also close to joining Bradford City on loan for the remainder of the campaign, though it is not clear when that exit might be announced.
Taking to social media on the early hours of Thursday morning, notorious transfer reporter Fabrizio Romano posted separate updates on the two imminent Old Trafford exits. First, he wrote, "Harry Amass’ loan move to Norwich from Man United, done and sealed without any buy option clause." He then followed it up with another post that read, "Toby Collyer to Hull City on loan from Manchester United, deal agreed and set to be sealed today."
Amass is set to join in-form Norwich City after he was recalled from his loan at Sheffield Wednesday earlier in the month. The 18-year-old also had interest from Stoke City, Millwall and Watford, while Wednesday were extremely keen on a move. Collyer is set to join high-flying Hull after he was recalled from a troubled spell at West Brom at the start of the month. The 22-year-old rejected a move to the Tigers in the summer but is set to give them a second chance, with them fourth in the table under Sergej Jakirović.
