Real Madrid attacker Brahim Diaz rejoined the group in training this Thursday after spending the last few weeks competing for the AFCON title with Morocco. Brahim completed great performances during the tournament but ultimately came up short as Morocco lost to Senegal in the Final.
The attacker will likely be available when Real Madrid visit Villarreal this Saturday, although he might need some time before he’s able to play meaningful minutes for Los Blancos. There’s still an opening for him, Mastantuono or Rodrygo on the team’s right wing though, so it will be interesting to see Arbeloa’s rotation once every attacker is available.
While Brahim appeared to be gaining momentum during the AFCON, he missed a key penalty in the Final and received heavy criticism, so he could need some time to improve his confidence.
