Leeds United
Leeds United will be hoping to continue their good run of form at the start of the year when they meet Everton next. Daniel Farke’s side began the year with two huge results against Manchester United and Liverpool.
The Whites held Arne Slot’s men to a 0-0 draw at Anfield, and only allowed one goal against Manchester United. Newcastle eventually ended Leeds’ six-game unbeaten run, but the club bounced back in the match against Fulham.

Farke’s side will continue their fight for safety in the Premier League, after opening a little gap between themselves and the relegation zone last month. The ownership have also helped, by adding Facundo Buonanotte on a loan deal for the rest of the season. Leeds will finally have the firepower and creativity they lacked in the early parts of the year.
Leeds United suffer blow ahead of Everton clash
Ahead of the Everton clash, there are a few doubts in the squad. Daniel Farke confirmed that Gabriel Gudmundsson missed training on Thursday, and gave updates on Anton Stach and Dan James.
”The group for the last game is more or less available. Gabby Gudmundsson has been struggling with adductor problems, we’ve had to leave him out of training today. An important player, hope he is available for Monday night but a little question mark.”
”Good news from our rehab department. Anton was today partially in team training, no reaction, looks like he could be available.
”Dan James yesterday and today part-integrated, close to joining us in full training. Will last a bit until he’s fit and ready for games but good news.”
Leeds United rolled out a much changed lineup when they faced Fulham last week, and it paid off as the Whites left Elland Road with a 1-0 win.

Gudmundsson could be a huge miss
Since his arrival in the summer, Gabriel Gudmundsson has been a great addition to the first team. He has always been there when called upon, and has barely missed games due to injury. Defensively, he has been one of the best players in the team; the way he plays makes it very difficult for opponents to get past him.
Losing him would be a big blow this week; especially with the lack of left footers in the squad. Gudmundsson is the only natural left footer at fullback, which means replacing him with a non-left footer would complicate things in the build up and attack.
