Aston Villa could be set to complete a deal for one of their former stars to return to the west Midlands, according to reports - with the Villans 'considering' a loan move for Brazilian star Douglas Luiz in the coming weeks of the January transfer window.
The report by Fabrizio Romano on X (formerly Twitter) states that Villa, alongside Chelsea, are considering a loan move for the Nottingham Forest loanee.
Luiz moved to the east Midlands over the summer after Forest qualified for the Europa League, though the Tricky Trees have had three managers already this season and that has seen Luiz struggle for minutes under Sean Dyche.
With that in mind, Forest will let 'world-class' Luiz leave to head back to parent club Juventus, where he could join a new club on loan - with Villa being a genuine option.
