Ethan Ennis was tipped as having Premier League-level potential ability
Last season, Ennis joined Doncaster on loan, and the then-manager Grant McCann spoke very highly of the United youngster, stating that he had abilities suited to the Premier League.
“He brings energy, he brings pace, he can stop-start. You see it in Premier League players, even the younger ones now, they all have that stop-start where they go from nothing to absolutely rapid, and Ethan’s got that in abundance.
“He makes clever runs, the way we like our wide forwards to play Ethan’s got all that, huge thanks to Man United.
“It’s progression for us as a football club that these big clubs are trusting us with their best youngsters and he’s certainly one of Man Utd’s best youngsters. He’s got all the tools to go on to be a top Premier League player.”
Whether Ennis will reach this level or not remains to be seen, but clearly, he is getting better and developing.
It is important to remember that Ennis missed a large portion of time through injury as a teenager, so he is now making up for this lost time.
