Scott McTominay and Rasmus Hojlund could be joined by another Manchester United teammate at Napoli. The Italian giants are reported to be interested in landing Jadon Sancho.

The Ewinger struggled after making his mega-money move to Old Trafford and has spent time on loan at Borussia Dortmund, Chelsea and now Aston Villa. Sancho endured a falling out with Erik ten Hag and, after Chelsea paid a fee to ensure his transfer there was not made permanent, was made to train away from United's first-team under Ruben Amorim.

Sancho has been regularly linked with a moce to Serie A. Juventus attempted to land the England international in 2024, while Roma appeared close to agreeing a deal for Sancho before he joined Aston Villa.

The Giallorossi ultimately signed Leon Bailey from the Midlands club. His loan has been terminated this month.

Now, Napoli are the latest to be tempted by Sancho's talents, despite his loan at Villa Park. Antonio Conte's team have Sancho among their list of targets, according to Tuttomercatoweb.

Napoli could look to move into the market after suffering a severe blow to their squad - with David Neres set to undergo surgery to resolve a tendon issue and could be out of action for two months.

Sancho is out of contract with United at the end of the season, though the club do have the option to extend his deal by a further year.

Napoli are unlikely to be put off by Sancho's time at United, given the performances they have garnered from McTominay and Hojlund. The former was named Serie A's best player after helping inspire their league title win.

Denmark international Hojlund has scored a modest nine goals in 26 games for Napoli - including an important brace against Juventus. That's already just one goal fewer than he managed in the whole of last season, though.

For now, Sancho remains on loan at Villa, and scored his first goal for the club in a 1-0 victory against Turkish side Fenerbahce in Thursday's Europa League clash. The 25-year-old's 25th-minute header proved decisive and Sancho made a dig at his previous bosses after the fact.

The United loanee is enjoying life under Unai Emery and he said: "It's nice to have a manager who backs you and obviously believes in you. Again, every opportunity I get, I'm going to try and do 100 per cent, and hopefully I can deliver more goals."

Speaking last month, amid speculation that Sancho's loan could be ended early, Emery also gave the attacker his backing. He said: "Jadon is still being young.

"He has had an amazing career and is now in a moment where he needs help to recover his best performance. I have this challenge with him. He has this challenge with me as well. Of course, he is not playing all the minutes I think he has to.

"But, in the second part of the season, I believe in him. He is really being demanding himself to try to get his best moment this season with us. Of course, on Sunday we are finishing December and then starting January soon. The first match back he will play is against Chelsea.

"He has that challenge with me and himself, and with the club as well. I believe in him, hopefully we can get it."
