Reports last night surfaced a surprising development in Madrid, claiming that Trent Alexander-Arnold was unhappy at the club and possibly even looking to exit from Real Madrid after a difficult start to life in Spain.
The news outlets further relayed that Real Madrid coach Alvaro Arbeloa had a discussion with the player where he conveyed that he did not have the right-back in his plans, as he did not provide enough in attack and defence.
Just over seven months into his life as a Real Madrid player, word had it that Trent’s time at the club could likely be coming to an unexpected end.
Rumours denied
Now, as confirmed by Diario AS in a recent update, however, the relayed news could not be further away from the truth, and there is no exit being contemplated for the youngster.
Arbeloa fully trusts the defender, who is nearing a complete recovery from his setback. He is patiently waiting for Trent’s return to incorporate him into the starting lineup and bring the best out of him.

Contrary to the rumours, the meeting between the player and the manager saw the coach transmit full faith in the right-back and the player, in turn, provided an update on how his recovery is progressing.
Despite the links to the Premier League, nothing has changed in the player’s situation and he is not considering a departure in any capacity.
Real Madrid continue to bet on him as one of the best full-backs in world football and see him as part of their long-term plans.
So far this season, repeated injuries have prevented the youngster from establishing himself as a regular and he has not been able to capitalise even on Dani Carvajal’s medium-term injury due to the same reason.
Needless to say, the hope will be that he can stay fit and contribute in the second half of the season.
