The 18-year-old completed a loan move to the Canaries from Manchester United on Saturday, having spent the first half of the season at stricken Sheffield Wednesday.
Norwich beat fellow Championship clubs to Amass’ signature, moving for a left back after Lucien Mahovo suffered a muscular injury in training that is suspected to rule him out for months and leaving Ben Chrisene as their only natural option in that position.
Amass has Championship experience and is relishing the prospect of stepping into their recovery mission under Philippe Clement.
“I've only had maybe a week and a bit off, I've been training back at United and playing games regularly. I'm ready to go,” Amass said.
“Norwich are in a good position, making a step up at the moment and going forward. I wanted to be a part of it and I'm looking forward to it.
“I would say I'm someone that's good on the ball, I like the ball, I want the ball. I try to be exciting for the fans, for anyone watching at home or in the stadium. I love getting on the ball and trying to make things happen. I give a lot for the team, I'm hardworking.
“Each of the experiences has given me different things. The Premier League is the best league in the world, you learn a lot of things there, playing with those players every day and training with them. The Championship is different but it's at a very high level as well. You learn a lot of things.“

After impressing in difficult circumstances at Hillsborough, Manchester United are keen for Amass to continue his development in a different environment in Norfolk.
“They want me to get more experience, get better at a few things, maybe off the ball,” the teenager told City’s club channels. “I think you can always get better everywhere, more games, different coaching, facilities, it can all make my game even better.
“They want me around at the end of this season, we'll see what happens when I go back. They're excited for me to go out now and show what I can do, and keep getting better.“
