It's not always been sunshine and rainbows for Manchester United midfielder Mason Mount since his £60 million-worth move from boyhood club Chelsea in the summer of 2023, but a recent report has suggested that his off-field endeavours have helped him bank a further £6 million.
A one-time Champions League winner with the west London-based outfit, Mount's time at Stamford Bridge came to an end just one year before his contract expired – and regular minutes at Old Trafford have been hard to come by because of competition from Bruno Fernandes.
Despite the fact he could have been signed for nothing the following summer, the Red Devils still coughed up a hefty fee for his services, though, and his first season at the club saw him pick up a mere 521 minutes in the Premier League season and, all in all, just 20 appearances across all competitions.

Injuries have hampered Portsmouth-born Mount from getting a run of games under his belt – and many of the Old Trafford faithful have called for Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his entourage to cut their losses and sell him at the earliest given opportunity. Some, though, are enamored by his enviable work rate.
According to figures from Transfermarkt, the Englishman has missed an eye-catching 54 matches since his Chelsea-to-United move in the summer of 2023.
The midfielder's £150,0000-per-week wage means that he is always going to be handsomely paid for his on-pitch efforts, but the 27-year-old has also been clever with his off-pitch investments. He oversees the running of Stone Elite, a company he runs with his father Tony.
Under the Stone Elite banner, Mount has a property business and a holding company and accounts filed this week at Companies House showed it had assets of £5.7million in June 2025 — a rise from £4.4million in 2024. His financial gain is expected to increase tenfold in their next accounts.
Elsewhere, Mount's marketability factor means that he has also secured big-money deals with the likes of Nike and Pepsi Max – with the star's face plastered on the bottles of the latter as a result.
Mount, who took on the fabled No.7 shirt when his move to United came to fruition, has also been spotted donning Adidas and Mizuno boots and that has suggested that a lucrative new boot deal could be signed in the near future.

Given that Mount has the help from his father in terms of the day-to-day business goings-on, Mount will be able to be fully focused on establishing himself as a regular in the United line-up. Fernandes potential departure in the summer could open a spot for the 36-cap England international.
The addition of Matheus Cunha – whose best position is, arguably, behind the solitary centre-forward – could complicate matters for the former Vitesse man, who was a favourite of ex-Chelsea manager Frank Lampard.
It's no secret that he's adored by every manager he has played under (the aforementioned Lampard, especially) and he's perennially cast as the teacher's pet. A system player of the highest order, 1999-born Mount may not be able to replicate the goalscoring prowess of Fernandes, but he possesses a terrific work ethic.

Thus far, since moving from London to Manchester, Mount has accrued 66 appearances for his current Premier League employers and the 2025/26 season has been his very-best to date. If he can emulate the form of his peak Chelsea days, Mount's addition could turn out to be a shrewd one.
