Italian giants Juventus have identified Everton centre-forward Beto as a January transfer target.
As per reports in La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Serie A side would be interested in a loan deal this month.
However, this would include an option to buy the 27-year-old at the end of the season.
Juve’s interest in Beto emerges as their negotiations for Youssef En-Nesyri collapsed.
The report states that intermediaries are working on a deal as of today, though other targets have been discussed.
Joshua Zirkzee and Jean-Philippe Mateta are also on a shortlist of potential targets for Luciano Spalletti’s side.
Beto has also been linked with a move to Super Lig side Fenerbahçe Indeed, the striker’s representatives reportedly met with the Turkish outfit last week.
However, David Moyes stated he knew ‘nothing about it‘, insisting the Blues couldn’t afford to let the Guinea-Bissau international leave.
BETO’S TIME IN BLUE MAY BE UP, BUT WHO COMES IN TO TAKE HIS PLACE?
Everton are yet to enter the marker this window, despite needing to strengthen in several key areas.
Goals have been hard to come by, with Beto finding the net just three times in 25 games this season.
As uninspiring as his goal return is, Moyes doesn’t have many other options, and if Thierno Barry became unavailable, we’d be without a first-team striker at the club.
The rumours regarding Beto’s potential departure seem to be gathering pace. Presumably, the club have made it clear he’s available this month, which must mean incomings this week.
