Harry Maguire has once again shown his quality for Manchester United after the England defender’s impact against Arsenal at the Emirates at the weekend.
The 32-year-old former Manchester United captain started alongside Lisandro Martinez and Harry Maguire produced a strong defensive display on Sunday.

Maguire completed the full 90 minutes at the Emirates and Man Utd sealed a 3-2 win over Arsenal in a sensational Premier League performance over their fierce rivals.
The England international missed nine Premier League matches in a row towards the tail end of 2025 after he suffered a thigh injury against Tottenham in a 2-2 draw.
Maguire was sidelined while Ruben Amorim was sacked as Man Utd manager before returning under Red Devils caretaker boss Darren Fletcher earlier this month.

The Three Lions star was in his element in the Manchester derby and both Maguire and Martinez completed the full 90 minutes in Man Utd’s showdown with Man City.
Maguire’s confidence and resilience in the Arsenal and City matches was mirrored with another standout performance during Ruben Amorim’s reign at Old Trafford.
The former Leicester City ace produced a sensational showing in Man Utd’s 2-1 win over Liverpool and he had the biggest impact of all in the Premier League clash.
Maguire netted United’s winner against Liverpool at Anfield in the 84th minute last October after Amorim’s men had blown their first-half lead in the second half.

Maguire has entered the final six months of his Old Trafford contract and it remains unclear whether or not Man Utd will attempt to extend his stay at the Red Devils.
The Red Devils triggered the 12-month extension clause in Maguire’s contract last January after his important run of form under former United manager Amorim.

Fast-forward to 2026 and Michael Carrick’s interim spell until the end of the current campaign could once again shine the spotlight on the importance of Maguire.
Maguire has been free to speak with clubs outside of England and he could sign a pre-contract agreement before the 2026 January transfer window slams shut.
However, Ineos cannot rule out the possibility of trying to tie Maguire down to a new deal if the Man Utd and England centre-back’s stunning run of form continues.
