Manchester United are one of the sides to have held talks with the representatives of Crystal Palace midfielder Adam Wharton ahead of a potential move, according to TEAMtalk.
Wharton has become one of the most sought-after players in the Premier League after his performances for Palace. Now establishing himself as a regular in the England squad, Wharton is a key cog in Oliver Glasner's system, but with the Palace manager confirming he's going to be leaving in the summer, there are surely question marks surrounding the future of some of their stars.
Jean-Philippe Mateta has already asked to leave the club, with Nottingham Forest recently submitting an offer, while Marc Guehi joined Manchester City earlier in the window. Manchester United could look to take advantage, and they are keen to secure the signature of Wharton.

It's expected that Wharton, described as a 'superstar' by Transfermarkt, will head through the exit door in the summer transfer window, putting the likes of United on high alert.
It's claimed that Palace could hold out for in the region of £100m for Wharton, although some sources have suggested it could be as low as £65m. A host of other Premier League clubs are also in the race to secure his signature, while United will need to end the season strongly if they want to bring him to Old Trafford.
It's believed Wharton will look to sign for a club competing in the Champions League when he moves in the summer transfer window. Their recent results under Michael Carrick will have certainly given them hope, beating Arsenal and Manchester City since the interim boss took over.
