Jamie Carragher makes Leeds United claim after Everton result

Monday night saw Leeds face a difficult Everton side at the Hill Dickinson Stadium. The Whites took the lead in the first half through an unlikely source; James Justin. Anton Stach, who was making his return to the lineup, provided the assist. The away side controlled the game for most of the proceedings, but they gave up a goal late in the second half. Thierno Barry levelled the scores in the 76th minute. The game ended in a draw.

Jamie Carragher, who was on punditry duty during the game was impressive with how Leeds United played on the night:

“Massive problem, I mean Leeds have been fantastic, Everton have made them look like Real Madrid, they’re in the all white and that’s what they look like in the first half but the wing backs have caused Everton huge problems.

“So you see this coming together here, there was complaints about that being a foul, I’m not sure.”

An impressive outing by Farke’s men

Leeds have been an impressive football team in the past few months, they have played some very good football in games. They may look like a normal side fighting relegation, but they have racked up some impressive results against better opposition.

On Monday night, Leeds could have gotten a result, but an unfortunate slip allowed the home side to score late in the game. Fans should be positive even after the draw; with every point the team wins, they move further and further to safety.
