David Beckham may have played for Manchester United for over a decade, but that hasn't stopped his son Romeo from supporting their Premier League rivals

Sir David Beckham's son, Romeo, is a huge Arsenal fan thanks to the special privileges Arsene Wenger granted him as a youngster.
The Beckham family has gone through some turmoil recently after the eldest son, Brooklyn, publicly denounced his ties to his parents on social media. The 26-year-old accused his family of controlling the media narrative on him and trying to ruin his relationship with his wife, Nicola Peltz Beckham.
David and Romeo are still on good terms, however, despite having differing views on football. Even though the Beckhams grew up as United supporters, the 23-year-old is a massive Gunners fan due to an experience he had as a child at Arsenal.
In an interview with former teammate Rio Ferdinand, David explained how he visited the north London team with Romeo as a young boy and then-boss Wenger made sure to give the second-eldest Beckham a day to remember.

He said: "He was really young and we were in London one Friday and he was like, ‘Dad let’s go to a game this weekend.' So I started to look at the fixtures, and I was like ‘Uh, Arsenal are at home.'
"So I thought, do you know what, they’re always really nice to me when I go down to watch United and Arsenal, and I thought okay, they’ll look after us, there won’t be any hassle getting in. No hassle, sat there.
"So we walked in, amazing seats. Sat in the director’s box. Lunch was unbelievable before the game - it was like wagyu, full on, everything. So we walk in, I’m sat there and then Arsene walks in the room and he comes straight over to the table, introduces himself to Romeo, and he says, 'Come with me son.'

"So he takes him down to the changing room, meets all the players, gives him a shirt, signed, takes him onto the pitch, walks him back up to the table and then gives him an Arsenal cashmere scarf, and that was it. It was done. I’ve tried to change his mind since but impossible."
The family's split loyalties were out for all to see on Sunday after United recorded a rare 3-2 victory away at Arsenal. Bryan Mbuemo, Patrick Dorgu and Matheus Cunha were all on target as the team got their second win in a row under Michael Carrick, while the Gunners' title hopes were dented further by their first home defeat of the season.
Beckham took to social media to rub Romeo's nose in it, posting a photo of himself celebrating his famous halfway-line goal against AFC Wimbledon with the caption, "You OK Romeo," and some love hearts. Another throwback picture was posted of David celebrating in United colours with the caption: "As the Boss would say 'squeeky bum time.' That Gap is getting smaller."

Romeo hit back with a picture of the current Premier League table, showing that United are still 12 points behind the league leaders. He said: "Don't get too gassed. Mind the gap."
Arsenal have the chance to bounce back midweek against Kairat Almaty in the Champions League before a trip to Leeds United in the Premier League on Saturday. Meanwhile, United will enjoy a full week of rest and training before welcoming Fulham to Old Trafford on Sunday.
