Former Arsenal star Emmanuel Petit has laughably suggested that the Gunners should try and raid Manchester United.
Manchester United are still flying high from their 3-2 win over Arsenal on the weekend, which lifted the Red Devils up to fourth in the Premier League table.
Bryan Mbeumo scored United’s first goal of the match, just a week after he scored in the win over Manchester City.

The 26-year-old now has nine goals this season, despite having missed several weeks away at AFCON, and Mbeumo leads the way as United’s top scorer in 2025/26.
Mbeumo has become United’s big game player, and he is currently thriving in a centre-forward role under Michael Carrick.

Speaking on talkSPORT, Petit was asked to name one player Arsenal should sign in January to get their Premier League title push over the line.
“It’s Mbeumo. In terms of his movement, he’s very intelligent. As a player, in front of goal he’s very good, in terms of assists as well,” Petit said.
“I love his work rate. I love his behaviour on the pitch, technically and mentally as well. I love him because he’s very intelligent.
“When I saw Manchester United buy him, I thought ‘this is a good bargain’.”
Bryan Mbeumo can stay and become a Man United legend
The idea of Mbeumo going anywhere away from Old Trafford anytime soon is laughable.
When he arrived in Manchester, Mbeumo said joining United was a “dream”, and he certainly appears to be enjoying leading the line for the Red Devils this season.

Mbeumo has become an immediate fan favourite, and he is already justifying the transfer fee paid for his signature.
Mbeumo’s contract at United lasts until 2030, so he is going nowhere anytime soon. At 26 years old, he is ready to spend his prime years at Old Trafford.
