Manchester United are reportedly plotting a summer move for one of Everton's stand-out stars

Everton are now three Premier League games unbeaten after drawing 1-1 with Leeds United at the Hill Dickinson Stadium on Monday night.

The Toffees went 1-0 down via James Justin’s first-half goal but Thierno Barry levelled matters on 76 minutes, just over a week after David Moyes’ side had beaten Aston Villa 1-0 away from home in a hugely-impressive victory.

One of the club’s standout players this season is forward Iliam Ndiaye, who has four goals and two assists in 17 Premier League games.

According to TEAMtalk, Manchester United are plotting a stunning move for him in the summer window. However, it is likely to take a club-record transfer fee for Everton to even consider a sale.

Ndiaye was also part of the Senegal side that won the African Cup of Nations and he is said to have a growing number of admirers at Old Trafford.

United signed Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha from Premier League rivals in the summer and are keen to look for players within the English top flight moving forward.

Several clubs are said to be keeping tabs on Ndiaye, with Everton rejecting a £40m offer from Inter Milan last summer. He is under contract until 2029, with Everton in a strong position as they insist he is not for sale.

The Toffees’ club-record sale was agreed when Romelu Lukaku left Goodison Park for United in July 2017 for £75m. The above report states “any move would likely need to come close to matching that if they are to get the Toffees to the table.”

Moyes was full of praise for Ndiaye back in October when Everton lost 2-0 to Manchester City. Despite the Toffees losing the game, the Scotsman still felt Ndiaye was the standout player on that day.

“I thought Ili’s performance in the first half was outstanding,” Moyes said. “I thought he was the standout player at that time in the game.

“I just saw signs that he had fatigued during the game. Even the goal, we just get it a yard wrong from stopping the pass going through.

“But Ili is playing really, really well. I just don't know if maybe the two games for his international team just took a bit more out of him and the travel, as well. But he played very well. Unfortunately, he couldn't get us a goal.”
