Report: Chelsea demand Real Madrid include superstar in any potential Enzo Fernandez transfer

Enzo Fernandez is one of the best midfielders in world football, making it no surprise that Real Madrid continue to be linked with the Chelsea man.

Earlier this month, it was claimed that Real Madrid are excited about the possibility of signing Fernandez in the summer.

However, bringing the 25-year-old to the Santiago Bernabeu will not be a straightforward operation.

Who would you like to see replace Enzo Fernandez if he leaves Chelsea this summer?

It is being reported that Chelsea want one of Real Madrid’s players in return, and not just any Los Blancos star either.

Chelsea warn Real Madrid they will only let Enzo Fernandez go in swap deal for Vinicius Jr

Despite links, Chelsea are yet to make an approach for Vinicius Jr, but the Brazilian does appear to be a player of interest to them.

According to Defensa Central, while the Blues are willing to let Fernandez join Real Madrid, Vinicius Jr must be included in a swap deal in order for that move to happen.

With his contract expiring next year, there has been talk about the forward leaving the Bernabeu.

However, following the sacking of Xabi Alonso, it is thought that Vinicius Jr is now more likely to renew his deal.

A move to Stamford Bridge would see Vinicius Jr link up with compatriots Estevao Willian, Joao Pedro and Andrey Santos.

During the last international break, Vinicius Jr was outshone by Estevao, who dazzled in Brazil’s 2-0 win against Senegal.

Enzo Fernandez has outscored Vinicius Jr this season

Vinicius Jr is one of the best forwards in the world, but surprisingly, he has actually scored fewer league goals than Fernandez this season.

In 21 La Liga appearances, the Brazil international has scored five goals. Fernandez, on the other hand, has managed to score seven goals in the Premier League, playing one more game than the Real Madrid superstar.

Fernandez’s tally includes penalties and he has played more minutes than Vinicius Jr. But the fact that he has still been able to outscore an attacker as talented as Vinicius Jr really puts into perspective the former Flamengo player’s struggles under Alonso before the Spaniard’s exit.
