Tottenham have made a lucrative offer for 26-year-old Los Blancos midfielder.

Tottenham have made an audacious attempt to bring Real Madrid midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni to north London with a £87 million offer, according to Spanish publication Fichajes.
Fichajes insists that Tottenham have made an offer of €100 million for the France international who thrived under Xabi Alonso, with their main competition coming from Liverpool, who have launched a similar bid. Real Madrid have received two offers of €100 million each for Tchouameni.

The report adds:
“Tottenham, for their part, have also made a move. The London club want to take a competitive leap and believe Tchouaméni would be an immediate fit for their project.”
However, Real Madrid head coach Alvaro Arbeloa has “complete faith in the player,” with both Tottenham and Liverpool conducting “prolonged monitoring and very positive reports on the player’s performance at Real Madrid.”
The report continues:
“As the days go by, everything indicates that Real Madrid is in no hurry to make a move. The club values the player as a fundamental piece of its present and immediate future.”
Madrid’s reluctance to sell makes any January deal highly unlikely, regardless of the substantial offers on the table. Tchouameni has been a key figure for the Spanish giants since joining from Monaco, and Arbeloa clearly views him as integral to their plans.

The £87 million offer reflects how desperate Tottenham’s situation has become. Having already signed Conor Gallagher from Atletico Madrid for £35 million earlier this month, Frank is pushing for further reinforcements to address the midfield issues that have plagued his side.
