Manchester United have reportedly taken Cork City’s own Ike Manjor on trial this month. Here is everything you need to know about the youngster.
Ineos have signed some top-class youngsters for the academy since taking charge of footballing operations in 2024.
Chido Obi arrived to dominate for the U18s, and despite taking a step back this season, he still has a very bright future at the club.
More recently, the club signed Charlie Hardy, who is likely to become a regular for the U18s in the coming months.
Now, there is a chance Ike Manjor will join this list.

Manchester United take Ike Manjor on trial
This week, it has been claimed by the X account Rep of Ireland Player Tracker, and backed by a retweet from Nathan Salt, that Irish youth international Manjor is currently on trial at Carrington.

Manjor was spotted in a U18 training video posted by a former Irish international who has a son in the squad, likely JJ Gabriel’s father’s X post, and it is now confirmed Manjor is on trial this week.

The Cork City defender is highly rated and signed his first professional deal at the club last year despite being expected to go on to bigger things.
United are one of several Premier League clubs in the race to secure his signature for a move once he turns 18. With the X account recently also revealing Spurs had Manjor on trial too, with clubs across Europe also keen.

Who is Manchester United target Ike Manjor?
Currently playing for Cork City’s academy, Ikechimka Manjor, known as Ike Manjor, is one of the hottest prospects in his age group in the League of Ireland.
He is 16 years old and turns 17 in February, which means that United wouldn’t be able to sign him until summer 2027, but pre-agreements can be made.
Manjor originally was at the Treaty Academy before making the move to Cork in 2025, where he has established himself to be a top talent.
The teenager is a right-footed centre-back already standing at 6ft tall, which is sure to increase over the next year.
Manjor is currently in the Ireland U17 squad, but did miss out on the U17 World Cup, where United were scouting Michael Noonan and Vinnie Leonard
