Man United are considering a move to sign one of Everton’s best players in the summer transfer window.
Man United have seen a real change in their transfer strategy over the past year. They signed expensive young talents under Erik Ten Hag, and it didn’t work. Many of them either flopped or have significantly decreased in value, such as the likes of Antony, Rasmus Hojlund and Manuel Ugarte.
It seems to be the way for United to go, so it is no surprise that the Red Devils are now reportedly plotting a move to sign an Everton gem in the summer.
Man United plotting Iliman Ndiaye move
Everton attacker Iliman Ndiaye has been one of the best creative midfielders in the Premier League over the past few years. The 25-year-old is a fantastic goal scorer, but also adept at creating chances, and so it is no surprise that he’s starting to get the attention of bigger clubs.
According to TeamTalk, Man United are keen on Ndiaye and are plotting a summer move for the Everton star, as they look to follow in the blueprint of Cunha and Mbeumo, with a proven Premier League talent. Ndiaye has made 17 Premier League appearances for Everton this season, scoring four goals and providing two assists.
Ndiaye is under contract at Everton until 2029, and considering how much they value him, Everton insists that the Senegalese midfielder is not for sale, so United would likely have to fork out a hefty transfer fee.
Ndiaye could replace Bruno Fernandes
There is no doubt that Ndiaye is more than capable of replacing Fernandes, as he has all the creative ability of the Man United star. He perhaps lacks Bruno’s ability from set-pieces, but he can score a lot of goals, and could become a real leader in the Red Devils’ midfield.
Former Everton player Pat Nevin is a huge admirer of Ndiaye and wouldn’t be surprised if he got a move to a bigger club. He was quoted by Football Insider: “You can’t take your eyes off Ndiaye. He is one of those players, if you are not supporting either team, you are thinking – ‘Can I see him on the ball again, please? He is simply phenomenal.”
Ndiaye could come in and complement Mbeumo and Cunha; What a front three that could be for United’s next manager, whether that be Carrick or someone more high-profile, he’d certainly be welcomed at Old Trafford.
