Report: Everton fury as Juventus make beeline for another Everton target after Youssef En-Nesyri

Everton fans are still hopeful that one or two new faces will arrive before the transfer deadline, but Juventus may complicate one pursuit.

It has been a very quiet month on the transfers front for David Moyes.

While there has been speculation, and talk of strengthening at right-back and up front, there has also been the narrative that Everton will only act if the deal is right.

What should be Everton’s top priority before the deadline on Monday? 😬

The club are said to not see a great deal of value in this window, and there will be much more activity in the summer.

Everton have been keeping an eye out for right-backs, but any move for Brooke Norton-Cuffy may not be straightforward after an update today.

It’s been reported by Gianluca Di Marzio that Juventus have made contact with Genoa to sign Norton-Cuffy this month.

They have apparently proposed a loan move, with an option to buy.

It’s stated that Genoa have not yet outlined their conditions for a deal, however, it was reported recently that bids around £17 million for Norton-Cuffy would be considered.

Everton are keen on signing Brooke Norton-Cuffy… are there other positions more important than right-back this transfer window?

Everton have shown interest in Norton-Cuffy this month, and it’s also been suggested that striker Beto could be used as makeweight to make a deal happen.

But Juventus’ presence is frustrating for Everton, especially with Norton-Cuffy already playing in Italy. Turin is not far from Genoa, so the player wouldn’t have to deal with too much upheaval.

It is the second time in a matter of days that Juventus have gone in for a player Everton have wanted.

Juventus came close to signing Youssef En-Nesyri, until that deal collapsed.

Nathan Patterson’s form may see Everton stick rather than twist

Some fans have been left frustrated by the passive way in which Everton have seemingly approached this transfer window.

With the club firmly in contention for European football, plenty feel The Friedkin Group should be helping Moyes land one or two new players to strengthen the squad.

It remains to be seen if Everton make a late push for Norton-Cuffy, but the recent form of Nathan Patterson may well see the club stick rather than twist.

To his credit, the Scot has turned in some very solid performances lately, and has now started three games in a row.

Patterson has had a tough time with injury, but Moyes may now be willing to lean on his compatriot at least until the end of the season.
