Michael Carrick has yet to give any players their debuts since returning to the club as United’s head coach until the end of the season, but every league game feels like a must-win at this point.

Jaume Camacho: What you need to know
Jaume Camacho has been part of United’s academy for the past five years, but in early 2026, he continued transitioning from the U16s to the U18s.
In United’s 2-1 win over Burnley at the U18 level on Tuesday, Camacho made his U18s Premier League debut with a 10-minute cameo. It comes as his latest milestone as he steps up against older players with more experience.
Camacho was on the pitch when Louie Bradley scored a last-minute winner to beat Burnley.
He will now hope that it’s the start of more opportunities in the U18 Premier League as he continues his development at United.
However, it wasn’t the first time Camacho featured for United’s U18 side. His first appearance at that level came on December 17, 2025, when he played in a 6-0 thrashing of Birmingham City in the Premier League Cup.
Only time will tell how Camacho’s pathway into senior football will go. The coaching staff at Carrington will be doing everything they can to prepare him for that stage of his career.

Jaume Camacho interviewed Sir Alex Ferguson
In 2025, MUTV showed a shared interaction between Camacho and Sir Alex Ferguson for the ‘Lifeblood’ documentary series. It was titled ‘United at Heart’ and focused on the connection between the club’s past and its future.
Although it wasn’t a formal journalistic interview, Camacho, aged 13, posed some questions for the legendary manager.
The footage will go down in history if Camacho makes an appearance at the senior level for United.
