Former Manchester United star Andy Cole believes that Cameroon attacker Bryan Mbeumo has his heart set on being a star for the Red Devils.
Following United’s 3-2 win over Arsenal in the Premier League last weekend, the former Brentford forward became the first Red Devil to score against Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool in the same campaign since Robin van Persie completed the feat during the 2012/13 season.
While Mbeumo scored eight goals in 18 Premier League games so far, Cole expressed that the African star has been a big positive for his ex-side.
“Why I like Mbeumo, he wanted to play to Manchester United,” Cole said on the Weekend Wrap, as per United in Focus.
“That is a big, big plus. You see him out there and he’s desperate to play for Manchester United. He’s playing now, scoring goals, lots of energy. I respect that.
“Cunha as well, left out of the team the last two games, but he’s come in and scored the winner.”
