Unai Emery was asked about speculation linking him to Real Madrid following Aston Villa’s win over RB Salzburg.
The Spanish giants are reportedly searching for a new manager after Alvaro Arbeloa’s poor start in charge.
He took over following Xabi Alonso’s departure earlier this month but has already lost two matches, against Albacete and Benfica.
Reports from Spain claim that Emery is a contender for the Madrid job, alongside Jurgen Klopp.
After Villa’s 3-2 win over Salzburg, Emery was asked about the speculation linking him to Madrid.
Shaking his head, he said, “Nothing, nothing to say about it.”
In May 2024, following Villa’s qualification for the Champions League, Emery signed a five-year deal with the club.
This season, Villa are targeting a return to UEFA’s elite club competition and Europa League glory.
