Time is running out in the January transfer window as Manchester United continue to prepare for the second half of the Premier League season.
It's been an encouraging fortnight for the club, and squad, following Michael Carrick's appointment as head coach until the end of the campaign. Since taking charge, United have collected six points from their two fixtures against neighbours Manchester City and Arsenal.
Attention now turns to securing a third consecutive victory when United return to action on Sunday afternoon (2pm), as they host Fulham at Old Trafford. That match takes place just over 24 hours before the January transfer window closes.
There hasn't been significant activity at Old Trafford over the past month regarding first-team arrivals and exits. However, that hasn't stopped speculation about potential incomings and outgoings.
United still have some days remaining to conclude any deals, with the window closing on Monday. With that in mind, here's a round-up of some of the latest transfer news and speculation;
United join £40m pursuit
United are reportedly among the clubs chasing Eintracht Frankfurt's full-back Nathaniel Brown. TEAMTalk report that club scouts attended Wednesday night's Champions League encounter vs Tottenham to observe the player, where Brown featured for 72 minutes.
The 22-year-old is contracted to Frankfurt until 2030, but he's anticipated to depart the club this summer. He will reportedly command a fee of around £40million should a club succeed in securing his services.
United's interest in the defender is shared by Arsenal, Manchester City and Tottenham - who have all been linked with him.

'Negotiations underway'
Gazzetta dello Sport reports that talks are 'underway' for a potential deal to send Joshua Zirkzee to Juventus before the window closes.
The forward has been associated with a move away from United throughout the January window - with Roma a top contender. However, he has stayed put at Old Trafford, with managerial changes impacting his circumstances.
Now, it appears a deal could be on the cards. Reports suggest that Juventus view the Dutchman as an alternative to their primary target, Youssef En-Nesyri.
With Juve growing impatient in their pursuit, they may shift focus to other targets. It's reported that "negotiations are underway" for Zirkzee, and United are contemplating a loan deal without an option or obligation to buy.
