Tyrell Malacia is aiming to leave Manchester United in the final week of the winter market.
That’s according to Voetbal International, who report he’s seeking solutions immediately.
During the summer, the Dutchman had opportunities to leave Manchester United, but a move never materialised.
Claims from Tukey then reported that the Red Devils had reached a loan agreement with Eyüpspor. Malacia wasn’t keen and refused to leave the Premier League side.
His decision to continue at Manchester United hasn’t paid off as Ruben Amorim largely overlooked the left-back. The manager handed him two minutes in the league win over Newcastle United on Boxing Day.
Amorim has left Old Trafford and Manchester United have appointed Michael Carrick as his replacement. The left-back was an unused substitute in both games under the current manager.
Carrick favours Luke Shaw and has more options for the left-back position ahead of Malacia. This has seen him look for a move away from Manchester United.
The 26-year-old is searching for a club to have regular game time in the second half of the season.
He has interest from clubs in Italy, Turkey and MLS, without the report specifying details of the interested parties from these three leagues. An unnamed American club has also made a concrete move.
VI claim Malacia’s move seems ‘likely to happen in the final days of the transfer window’ if it is to Italy or Turkey.
Malacia is unlikely to get regular minutes under Carrick at Manchester United but it’s still unclear whether he’ll leave in this window.
