Arne Slot told to bring£250k-a-week Premier League star to Liverpool

Former Liverpool star Didi Hamann has opened up and had his say on the club’s transfer business and told them to make a move for Harry Maguire, who could leave Manchester United at the end of the season.

That LIVERPOOL board have been very active in the transfer market over the past few windows, have signed alot of players that they believe could drive the club into an era of dominance.

However – Liverpool still have a number of issues that they need to solve in that back-line, as the current crop of players have let in far too many goals that the club would like, and have alot more developing to do before the Reds challenge for that Premier League once again

And speculation has claimed that Liverpool’s top priorities in the coming transfer windows is find a new centre-back, and while Rennes’ Jeremy Jacquet is also in the running, the Reds are also keen to add an experience player to the side.

WHAT HAS HAMANN SAID

Speaking to CasinoBeats, he said “You’ve got to give it to Harry Maguire because he got so much stick in the last few years and he always comes back. If he’s available on a free then obviously have to think about it because I think what Liverpool need is more depth at the back.

“Joe Gomez has been around the squad for a long time but he’s never really been a starter for the team. Connor Bradley is out now through injury. We’ll have to see how it affects him when he comes back.

“I think LIVERPOOL need depth in the right-back position too. Frimpong is not a right-back. I think he gets away with playing there sometimes but he’s not a right-back. I think they need a couple of players at the back.”

WOULD LIVERPOOL REALLY SIGN MAGUIRE?

Maguire is a top defender, he is a leader and still has a few years at the top of the game, but to suggest that he would improve that Liverpool back-line is something that Reds fans will be shocked at, we cant ever see this move happening.

If Liverpool do decide to add to that back-line in the coming transfer windows, or this January, then it will be for a younger-fresher player that can eventually take over from the ageing Virgil Val Dijk.

So Maguire to LIVERPOOL wont happen, and to be fair, they wouldnt even consider buying a player from Manchester United surely?
