Brighton vs Everton in the Premier League from the Amex Stadium - Saturday, 3pm
Brighton boss Fabian Hurzeler revealed a "small issue" for their key midfielder ahead of Saturday's Premier League showdown against Everton at the Amex Stadium.
The Seagulls have struggled with numerous injuries this term and Diego Gomez is the latest to add to Hurzeler's list.
The Paraguayan has been a regular for the Seagulls this termn and can play in a variety of positions across the midfield, and even the No 10 role.
The 22-year-old former Inter Miami man is though a doubt to face the Toffees as he suffered a "small issue" in training this week.
Hurzeler added that Gomez is scheduled to train today and then a late decision will be made ahead of Saturday's 3pm kick-off.
Gomez has had 21 outings in the Premier League this term and has three goals to his name. Brighton's "small issues" sometimes have a habit of turning into long-term problems, and Brighton will hope that's not the case with Gomez.
Gruda needs consistency
Brajan Gruda missed last Saturday's loss with a "small issue" and should be good to face Everton, although Hurzeler has challenged the German under-21 international to show more consistency in his game. Gruda this week expressed his desire to join a big club in the future, such as Bayern Munich.
Mats Wieffer continues to be sidelined with a "small issue" to his toe. The Dutch international has now missed the last six matches and has not played since the 2-1 loss at Arsenal.
Solly March (knee), Adam Webster (knee) and Stefanos Tzimas (knee) are the long term absetees, while Tommy Watson is unlikely to feature as he looks to secure a loan away for the second half of the campaign.
